Some publishers maintain response processes for readers to reach the websites of current advertisers or to request information from many advertisers at once.

This typically helps to promote their advertising sales by distributing such "leads" to confirm subscriber interests in information about particular areas.  These services can be quite useful, but users should understand how their enquiries will be handled.

Our InfoShop as a related service to browse through and directly request promotional materials.  This makes it easier to find and download such materials directly from their websites.  Our Event Recall service also makes it easy to find contacts who are known to exhibit at trade shows.

Readers should recognize that, when they request information about a region such as one or more states through response to a magazine, their enquiry may be distributed to all recent advertisers of that magazine in those states, rather than to one specific advertiser of interest, and may not reach many relevant areas which don't advertise.

We do not distribute the enquiries we receive (see Seek Advice or Let's Meet).

Instead, we work with executives to personally suggest, research, and introduce relevant contacts according to their interests and project confidentiality constraints. 

The initial examples shown below come from our preliminary research work to demonstrate the benefits of this service.  Listings would be expanded to provide more contact details and links for active participants in this service, thereby facilitating direct response to their advertising in any media at any time throughout the year.  That includes the potential to find ads by their text content.

Participants in this service would have more complete listings than the examples shown below (summary, contact name, phone, email, address) with links to their relevant website content and Area or Service Profiles to highlight the advertiser.  This is an inexpensive way to highlight and expand the response to your campaign.

This service is intended to make it easy to find recently published advertisements for a global mix of leading service providers and business locations.

Think of this as a "point of sale" presentation for advertisers to make it easier for executives and their advisors to remember and find their ads again, regardless of where or when they were published, and to follow the thumbnail images directly to the relevant pages on their websites as a very intuitive service.  When restrictions do not allow reproduction of even a thumbnail image, we can offer a button link instead, such as the organizational logo or some other distinct image with no such constraints.

The user can respond to the ad without going through a registration or reader service process which might jeopardize project confidentiality.  Publishers may only offer website links for a more limited period of time to encourage repeat advertising sales.  We don't sell advertising.

As this list of thumbnail images of advertisements grows, we will reorganize it into multiple pages for faster performance.  We can also link to such thumbnails from other relevant pages of this website (contact lists, project announcements, etc.).

Initially, until thumbnail images are available from advertisers, we have just listed frequent advertisers for reference.  These lists will change as images are added.  We do not expect to list all advertisers, as this is not a free service, and we intend to use the fees to promote this service more proactively as more advertisers participate.

The regional headings below link to the relevant contact tables, where website links and other information can already be found if available about both the advertisers and other organizations in the region.  Those lists are also selective and subject to change, rather than a comprehensive directory of all such contacts.

This section consolidates thumbnail images of recent advertisements for convenience along with website links, GUIDE Area or Service Profiles, and suggested contacts.  Scroll down to browse through the ads, or follow the shortcut links at the top of the page.   We may also organize some ads by topics or industry focus.  See also "Tombstones" or the Projects section for major project announcements, and the Real Estate section which selectively highlights major properties with linked content and listing services.  The InfoShop section can also highlight promotional materials.

See the explanation below about this new "deja vu" ad recall or browsing service to help executives and their advisors find recent advertisements quickly and easily whenever they actually need to refer to them, regardless of size or where and how often the ads were published.  We will reorganize this section into multiple pages for faster download times once the size of the images degrades performance.

As a new service, it will take time for this list to grow, and not all economic development agency advertisers will choose to highlight their ads here (at a nominal cost for the work involved to develop and maintain this service for executives).

There are hundreds of economic development agencies and professional service providers which advertise frequently, out of thousands of such organizations.  We have already identified roughly 500 recent advertisers for convenient reference below (without linked images or websites, just to demonstrate the concept).  The focus of this section is "display" ads, such as 1/6 or more of a page in a leading magazine for this specialized market or other relevant business media.

Advertisers may need to consider any restrictions which might prevent reproduction of their ads here, even just as thumbnail images.  Legal limitations may be imposed by copyright constraints such as the terms of contracts between the advertisers and their advertising service providers.  We can overcome such constraints in other ways when necessary, such as by publishing an authorized logo or other image which highlights the advertiser for visibility and response purposes without reproducing a restricted ad.

This would typically include a relevant website link from the thumbnail image, through which more details and a full copy of the ad could be found, as well as a home page link and contact details, an optional e-mail link, and links to related content (GUIDE Area Profile or Service Profile).

There are also links below to some of the many publishers where such display ads often appear, including how to advertise with them or obtain subscriptions.

Our work does not compete with such magazines.  We just make it easier for executives and their advisors to find relevant advertisers when they need them, as well as the many business locations which don't advertise.

In short, executives may want to look into the pitch from advertisers in regions of potential interest to them, but may not easily find such ads when they would be of interest.  Our role is to make it easier to discover who is actively trying to attract their business investment.

We can also highlight recent banner ads and buttons or other types of web-based advertising or media in the same manner, or highlight useful promotional materials and "point of view" presentations of factual analysis citing verifiable sources.

We organize online ads by participants into a special section for that specific purpose.  This serves any executives who recall or perhaps never even saw such ads, but might respond to them if they could find such ads easily when they are needed.  They shouldn't be compelled to wait through longer download times to see irrelevant ad images, or watch them blink or rotate past quickly to distract or annoy them, when they are of no interest at all.

We are not in the business of alienating the executives and professionals we serve by pushing unwanted advertising at them.  We just want to make it fast and easy for executives and their professional advisors to find relevant advertisers and reach them quickly and easily at any time, because such areas are obviously highly motivated to attract and retain their business investments despite any resource constraints.  We obviously know who they are, and how to reach them.

Economic development and investment promotion agencies, Chambers of Commerce, and professional service providers produce an enormous volume of advertising at great expense to highlight what may arouse interest or differentiate their service or location.

The main focus of this section is to make it easy to find printed ads and the advertiser websites behind them, regardless of where and when the ads appeared, but there can also be links to promotional videos or messages from TV or radio ads if these are published on the advertiser's website and available to link without restrictions (see below).

Similarly, if advertisers include images of their own ads on their websites, we can simply link to those ads so that the full image is readily available for reference.  We only publish thumbnails here in order to limit download times and the size of the website, since high resolution advertising images can be very large files.

This section will empower executives and their advisors to find and follow advertisements quickly and easily to the advertiser's website or contacts whenever they need them.

We do not want to republish the advertisements here, given their size and the copyright and maintenance issues.  We just want to make it easy to find the ads and advertisers when necessary by highlighting their existence and how to obtain more information.

In effect, this can function like a reader service process, except that we don't ask the readers to identify themselves or their project interests to us, although we are readily available to help them if interested in our support.  That also means we don't take their interest in one advertiser and recirculate that knowledge to many other advertisers in the manner of old "bingo card" processes.  We just want to make it easy for the user to go straight to the advertiser of interest.

A thumbnail image of the advertisement would appear in the table, with a link to the advertiser website and GUIDE Area Profile, if available, and provide contact details (name, phone, email link).  See potential restrictions below.

Follow this link to find specialized publishers and ad services for this niche market.  We also summarize some editorial calendars by region or topic to make it easier for executives and their advisors to find relevant feature stories when they need them.  This can reinforce the value of advertising in such publications or websites.

Some advertisements are actually not the property of the advertiser for copyright purposes, and may not be reproduced without the permission of the advertising agency or publisher which created the ad design.  This is an infrequent constraint, but before sending us a thumbnail image for inclusion here, we ask that all advertisers confirm that they are not violating any such restrictions in their agreements with such service providers or publishers by making a thumbnail image of their ad available for convenient reference here.

We would like to help executives and their advisors to find advertisements they may have seen but can't find again when they need them, as well as to find media where useful advertisements and editorial content appear about the places or services of interest to them.  The listings here should therefore complement advertising campaigns by providing another channel for executives and their advisors to discover or recall relevant ads.

Higher value is delivered by reaching the intended audience at the right time.  Think of this section as analogous to a "point of sale" display of an ad.  We want to have some of the best ads "on the shelf" as another way for executives to find valuable services easily.  We do not accept or sell advertising, or compete with the publishers.  On the contrary, this work should add to the value of advertising campaigns by providing another process for executives and their advisors to easily find relevant ads when they need to see them, and at the same time to become aware of media which may be relevant to their interests.

We publish only a small "thumbnail" image of an ad here, large enough to recognize but probably not read the ad, along with the name of the advertiser with links to any available Area Profiles or Service Profiles as well as directly to the advertiser website and the relevant contact, such as the name, phone, and e-mail link when available.

The image can also be linked to a more complete copy on the advertiser website, or to a relevant page within the website, rather than just the home page. 

We generally do not link to pages which require a registration process to identify the user, nor do we try to track such information.  We respect confidentiality.  If a user wants to contact us and identify their interests, we are readily available for that purpose, but we don't try to use the website to identify them or track their apparent interests.  We're just trying to openly share useful knowledge and links.

As this list grows, we will break it down into multiple pages by category of service or location, as in other sections.  In effect, this section will serve as a display rack for executives and their advisors to find useful advertisements more easily.  We can also link to these ads from the regional contact tables, project lists, real estate listings, or lists of service providers or other content on this website, which provides a variety of ways for users to discover the ads through this website and respond directly to them.

Note that this section will also make it somewhat easier for advertisers to see what similar advertisers are doing, and thereby improve their own advertising campaigns or perhaps reinforce their case for doing such advertising, but the thumbnail images are generally too small to see the details of an ad without reference to the publication or the website of the advertiser.

For current advertising, or to place advertisements with publishers which are active in this market, the following links profile some of the publishers of such advertising.  We can also publish thumbnail images above and in relevant directories (region, state, industry, etc.) as a service for the convenience of executives and their advisors, with links to the full images and text (useful for search purposes).

This makes it easier to find relevant ads which executives may not have seen, or which they recall visually but can't easily find again when they need to refer to them.  This is analogous to a "point of sale" merchandising display, or product packaging, in a retail environment to help buyers make the visual connection between an advertising campaign and the product.  We are not a publisher selling advertising space.  Our service is to help executives and their advisors to connect with relevant service providers and economic development representatives according to their interests.

We are not in the business of selling advertising space on our website, so we do not charge for this service on the same basis as publishers or websites which are funded by such advertising, such as according to the volume of "impressions" or click-through links by anyone who hits their website.

Similarly, we don't pay commissions to ad agencies to place such ads here.  If such fees are payable under the terms of their contracts, that is a matter between the advertiser and service provider.  Our focus is simply on making links conveniently available to those who want them, for the benefit of those who believe this will add value to their promotional efforts.  We are not trying to develop advertising sales as part of our business, nor discourage or compete with advertising elsewhere.  Our work should complement such advertising campaigns as a "point of sale" merchandising solution related to our work directly with executives and advisors for specific projects.

We charge a flat price per year for this "ad recall" service, which makes it easier for executives and their advisors to find ads which they may recall or may have missed.
