The majority of the population is concentrated around the
greater Phoenix area, although there are other fast-growing cities in
Arizona such as Tucson, Flagstaff, Yuma, and others.

Phoenix and
Tucson are located along the Interstate 10 corridor from the east to west
coast across the southern US states, such as from Jacksonville, Florida
across northwest Florida and the Gulf Coast region of Alabama, Mississippi,
Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico to Los Angeles, California.
They are also connected by Interstate 8 via Yuma to San Diego, and by
Interstate 17 north to Flagstaff, which is on the route from Oklahoma City,
Albuquerque, and Colorado to Los Angeles. To visualize the scale of
Arizona, it is roughly 100 miles from Phoenix to Tucson, and over 125 miles
to Flagstaff.
The route south of Tucson to Nogales is a major border
crossing with Mexico, with Interstate 19 leading south to Route 15 in
Mexico, which leads to Hermosillo and Ciudad Obregon as well as other areas
which have attracted considerable US business investment. |
