for the convenience of executives who may not be familiar with the area.
Le Sueur is located in the Minnesota River valley, and is popularly known as
the "Valley of the Jolly Green Giant" because this very fertile rural area
was the home of the "Green Giant" company, one of the most widely recognized
consumer brands for canned and frozen vegetables in the USA.
Although Le Sueur is a small town (population 4000), this uncongested rural location
can draw people from a much larger travel-to-work area. |
The Le Sueur area is roughly
50 miles southwest from Minneapolis along highway 169 to Mankato, which is
25 miles farther south. This provides good highway connections to
I-35, I-94 and I-90.
The international airport of Minneapolis-St.
Paul, also located south of these "Twin Cities", is easily reached by
highway 169 and the I-494 bypass around the cities. Various food processing
companies still have large facilities in the Le Sueur area. |
