- DAK Americas will invest $2.28 million at
existing facilities in Cedar Creek to construct an inter-modal facility
and extend rail lines. The facility will be available for use by
other industries.
- South River Electric Membership Co-op is
completing a new $3.2 million, 25,000 sq. ft. call center to open in
spring 2005.
- Nitta Gelatin will invest $26 million in a new
biotech operation
- Kelly Springfield, the county's largest employer,
is investing $51.9 million in a new tire line and warehouse expansion
- The state has funded a Military Business Center in
Fayetteville to assist companies interested in gaining contracts for
Department of Defense work.

and Pope Air Force Base and communities around the city of Fayetteville such

Fayetteville is North Carolina's fourth largest metropolitan area, with a
population of roughly 300,000.

automotive, plastics, and pharmaceutical industries.
