Durham, England The rolling countryside of
northern England may cause visiting tourists to not even realize that it is
home to major investors from around the world in Durham and the neighboring
counties, where the total population is comparable to a major US city
(roughly 2.5 million) within a short radius (about 30 miles).
The proud industrial heritage of this region and the cluster of world-class
manufacturing operations continues to attract investors to this uncongested
and relatively low-cost area of England with strong academic resources for
R&D and knowledge-based businesses.

not yet be well known, but it is a lower cost industrial area of the
country which is much closer to Germany and the Czech Republic than the Warsaw region.
