The following
examples from our own 2002-2004 advertising in various media demonstrate how this
service consolidates an independent reference archive to benefit users
beyond the organizational boundaries of the advertisers or publishers.
These were mainly just limited, pre-launch ads to raise
awareness of this service among professional service providers and economic
development agencies - not to find corporate project leads.
Ads can be grouped by various categories, such as by
region or service, or by the topic or industry focus, to make it fast and
easy for executives and their advisors to find the ads and the corresponding
websites and contacts whenever necessary.
For other advertisers, we prefer to link the image to the
home page or a special page designed to receive such links and further guide
the user to relevant content. The listing would include contact details (name, phone, and
optional email). It need not identify when and where the ad appeared,
but would summarize the ad content as appropriate, with a separately
identified link to see the full image of the ad as published, if available
on the advertiser's website, just as the following thumbnails expand to show
the full ad as archived on our website.
|
Since the files for high resolution images of color magazine
ads can be quite large, we do not store copies on our website. We
would caution against linking directly to full copies of such ads on another
website unless the image size or resolution is reduced, as with this
thumbnail approach, so that it can download rapidly for users and then be
expanded as necessary.
For example, an ad which targets the biotech industry
might link to a special page on the website of the advertiser which provides
more details for that sector, with related links to other content pages or
websites of potential interest. This might include the option to see
the full image of the original ad through a similar thumbnail, and a process
to directly request information such as promotional materials relevant to
that industry, or to easily reach the appropriate contact at the advertiser
to discuss specific interests.
We can also provide links to a GUIDE Area Profiles or
Service Profiles, if available, to make it easier to find related content
through this website, such as links to available real estate listings (on
this or other websites), project announcements, testimonials, etc. We
can also link to Biographic Profiles for the indicated contact to help with
personal introductions, or do other things to add value beyond the basic ad
listing. |

Note that our initial ads are deliberately small and simple at
this stage of the business launch, and do not yet reflect what we will
do in the future. Refer to our
2004 marketing plan,
including
cooperative ads and PR work. |
