| Executive Summary
Expansion Management is a well respected monthly magazine in
this niche. The articles
frequently quote leading professionals about specific locations, projects,
or issues according to an editorial calendar which covers most of the US
market, Canada, and Mexico as well as some other international investment
destinations.
Expansion Management frequently publishes rankings of states
and cities on a variety of business climate factors of potential interest to
corporate investors. It also publishes opinion poll research among
site selection consultants, such as lists of the "50 Hottest Cities" in
their opinions.
The publisher also organizes an invitation-only event each
spring for leading economic development professionals (among current
advertisers) to meet location consultants in an informal and very
well-organized "Roundtable in the Rockies" event. This provides a
relatively small and candid forum for the exchange of views about investment
trends, recent developments and attractions of the areas involved, and the
location consulting process in general, including how to work together more
effectively in support of investors.
Subscriptions are generally free and easily arranged since
their advertisers want to know that they are reaching potential investors.
A new service in 2005 was their Relocation Tool Kit, which
shares their research work for comparison of metropolitan areas and schools,
such as for labor market analysis work. |

Expansion Management lists
recent advertisers for reference, such as a directory on their website and
at the back of each issue of the magazine.
We now perform US ad sales work for one of the other
magazines in this niche market - fDi
magazine - published by the Financial Times group. These magazines
are targeted at different audiences, but attract some of the same
advertisers. |

Our "Advertising
Recall" service highlights advertising in this or other media
by economic development representatives and other
professionals in this direct investment niche. This enables executives and their advisors to find the
advertisers when they need them for their projects, regardless of when and
where the ads appeared.
We do not list all advertisements, as there is a small fee
for them to be highlighted through this annual service. The websites
of the publishers will usually list only their recent advertisers for
reference. We make it easy to find their ads at any time through
searchable text and thumbnail images in relevant directories and other
content. |
