Explanation
Professional service providers publish many announcements, often referred to
as "tombstones", to highlight their capabilities by reporting the conclusion
of a specific service engagement. The ads typically
appear in leading business newspapers or magazines, including specialty
publications for a particular industry or executive audience (CFO, CEO,
corporate real estate, etc.). Area representatives such as economic
development agencies, Chambers of Commerce, utilities, and others engaged in
investment promotion work sometimes publish similar announcements, whether
in the same media and format, or as direct mailings to executives and
consultants, in addition to their usual press releases about major projects. |
Using this
service This section will enable executives and
their advisors to find relevant "tombstone" announcements quickly and
easily, and reach the professionals behind them,
whenever they may need similar services.
We do not want to republish all the materials here, given
their volume and website maintenance issues. We just want to
make useful announcements from major projects easy to find again.
There is a small annual fee for listing one or more
"tombstone" announcements here.

maintain this service as an independent distribution channel for such
project announcements to reach potential investors for a long time to
complement any daily, weekly, or monthly media in which such announcements
may be published. |
| The problem
with "tombstones" has been their usage. They are published once,
hardly noticed, and soon forgotten, likely never to be seen again.
They have some "brand" name recall value, which is why they are typically
kept very simple as a way to associate the service logo with the client
company name. They actually convey useful knowledge
for executives, however, such as to identify who has been doing what, and
when, and the scale or scope of the service, including other relationships,
such as when more than one service provider was involved as a team.
We would
like to help executives and their advisors to find useful tombstones by
presenting such project knowledge here, where we can link it to other
information about the service provider, project, and area. Higher value is delivered by reaching
future investors
at the right time, when another major project is being planned. This section
is analogous to a "point of
sale" display. |
We will
publish a small "thumbnail" image or logo here, along with a very brief
description of the service announcement and links to any available Service
Profiles. We can only reproduce logos here (of the
service provider or client) if we are given the appropriate images and
authorization in writing because of copyright constraints. The
executive providing such written authorization is presumed to have the
authority to do so, and we assume no liability if this later proves to be
incorrect, other than to remove the item upon request by the proper
authority.
The image should link to a more complete copy, typically
on the website of the organization which publishes it, where multiple
announcements of this nature may be available for reference in addition to
whatever specific projects are highlighted here.
