| Unsolicited referrals If you are aware
of any other area representatives which you think could benefit from more
active participation in our services (such as GUIDE or SICR) so that we are
aware of their capabilities to serve investors, please:
- Introduce them to this website, so that they can become familiar
with the scope of what we do, and how they might benefit
- Please highlight the "Participants"
section
- as well as the "Welcome"
introduction to relevant services
- Encourage them to contact us directly by phone or e-mail
- Tell us if you think we should contact them first
Although some services such as the GUIDE Network survey process are free,
we are obviously most interested in area representatives which can invest in
other GUIDE and SICR services so that we will have the necessary resources
to identify and support more investment projects.
As more areas participate, we can offer better services and lower costs
because we can achieve significant efficiencies of scale in our work. |
Project Follow-up Research If we refer
an investor to you, and you "win" the project or refer the investor to
another area representative who "wins" it, please help us to perform routine
follow-up research :
- Let us know who led the support work to help the investor
- Let us know what you think were the key issues to "win" the
project
- Let us know which areas you think were the key competitors
- Let us know if professional service providers played a major
role
We may, of course, sometimes get a slightly different perspective from
our own contacts with the investor or service providers involved.
We are also interested in the same information about other major project
announcements, including the original source of such contacts, since this
helps to improve our understanding of market trends, how investors plan
projects, and how service providers and area representatives assist them. |
| Follow-up to Referrals by GDI Solutions
Project support is often a team effort involving multiple organizations.
If we refer a project enquiry to you, and you subsequently decide to involve
other organizations in the support of that investor, please :
- Let us know who received the referral from you, and why
- mainly so that we better understand how you work together
- Inform that organization about our role as the source of the
enquiry
- Ask them to inform us of the outcome of their support
- whether directly or through you
We don't try to exercise control over how an investor is supported after
an introduction is made, but we may maintain relationships with the investor
for other aspects of the same project, or for other projects. It is
therefore helpful to keep track of who is supporting such an investor, and
how the plans seem to be developing, even though the level of our direct
involvement may vary. |
GUIDE Experience Reports and SICR
Please keep in mind that one of the most potentially useful things which we
can make available to investors is a GUIDE Experience Report which
objectively documents the experiences of a representative sample of existing
investors on issues of typical interest to new investors in an area.
We therefore welcome referrals to area representatives who might wish to
invest in this professional work to make make better information available
about investment conditions in their areas.
Similarly, we welcome referrals to area representatives who may want to
invest in the SICR service, or even just the limited GUIDE Area Profile
work, so that we will have better knowledge of their areas and will have
more resources available to develop valuable relationships among investors. |
