| Unsolicited referrals If you are aware
of any professional services which you think could benefit from more active
participation in our services (such as GUIDE or SICR) so that we are aware
of their capabilities to serve investors, please:
- Introduce them to this website, so that they can become familiar
with the scope of what we do, and how they might benefit
- Encourage them to contact us directly by phone or e-mail
- Tell us if you think we should contact them first
We are not exclusively interested in service providers who might invest
in the various GUIDE and SICR services, although that would help to expand
the available resources to identify and support more investment projects. |
Project Follow-up Research
If we refer
an investor to you, and you "win" the project or refer the investor to a
service provider who helps your area or another area to "win" it, please
help us to perform routine follow-up research :
- Let us know which professional service provider played a major
role
- Let us know if other service providers competed for that work
We may, of course, sometimes get a slightly different perspective from
our own contacts with the investor or service providers involved.
We are also interested in the same information about other major project
announcements, including the original source of such contacts, since this
helps to improve our understanding of market trends, how investors plan
projects, and how service providers and area representatives assist them. |
| Follow-up to Referrals by GDI Solutions
Project support often involves one or more professional service providers at
some stage of the process. If we refer a project enquiry to you, and
you subsequently decide to involve professional service providers in the
support of that investor, please :
- Let us know who received the referral from you, and why
- mainly so that we better understand how you work together
- Inform that organization about our role as the source of the
enquiry
- Ask them to inform us of the outcome of their support
- whether directly or through you
We don't try to exercise control over how an investor is supported after
an introduction is made, but we may maintain relationships with the investor
for other aspects of the same project, or for other projects. It is
therefore helpful to keep track of who is supporting such an investor, and
how the plans seem to be developing, even though the level of our direct
involvement may vary. |
GUIDE Service Profile and SICR Participation
Even if we might never earn a nickel by introducing an executive to a local
professional service (unlike an active SICR participant), it can be helpful
for us to get to know leading service providers with proven capabilities to
support major investors well. This helps us to better serve investors.
We might rarely find opportunities which are relevant to the unique
capabilities of a specific local service provider, and they therefore may
not be logical prospects for more active participation in SICR, but it can
still be valuable for us to understand the scope of their capabilities just
in case an appropriate introductory situation arises at some point.
In some cases, however, a service provider may decide that a limited
amount of work together, such as the GUIDE Service Profile, is appropriate
to support their own promotional interests and enhance our knowledge of the
scope of their capabilities. Once again, however, referrals are based
on investor needs, and we may not always need a working relationship with a
service provider, particularly if the services are very local in scope and
the service can be introduced as appropriate through your own organization. |
